How to Set Up Website Hosting After Registering a Domain

Note: If you already have a website on the domain, a different process may be required. Contact our support desk for specific instructions in this case.

Step 1: Changing Domain Name Servers

The first step in setting up website hosting is to change the domain name servers to those provided by your chosen hosting provider. This is typically done through your domain registrar's account, which is the company where you purchased the domain.

To change the name servers, log into your domain registrar's account and navigate to the domain management section. If you are unsure how to do that, please reach your registrar's support desk for assistance.

If you want to host your domain with Mentors, you will need to set your domain's name servers as shown below:

ns1.digitalbusinesslounge.com

ns2.digitalbusinesslounge.com

ns3. digitalbusinesslounge.com

ns4.digitalbusinesslounge.com

Step 2: Verifying Name Server Changes

After changing the name servers, it's important to verify that the changes have been made successfully. This can be done using a WHOIS lookup service, which will show the current name servers for your domain.

If the correct name servers appear in the WHOIS record, you can proceed with setting up hosting through your hosting provider's control panel.

Step 3: Setting Up Hosting

Once the name server changes have been verified, you can set up hosting through your Mentors darshobard -> DBL Tool Suite -> Domains -> Host External Domain block on the right hand side.

Step 4: Allowing Time for DNS Propagation and SSL Configuration

After setting up hosting, it's important to allow 4-6 hours for DNS records to propagate and the SSL Certificate to be configured. This process can take some time, so be patient and check back periodically.

Once the DNS records have propagated and the SSL Certificate has been configured, you can proceed to install WordPress on your domain or do any other custom setup you want.
